Assignment Summary
Location: Overmount within the Bridleborn Mountains, the first in the region to be completely powered by electricity.
Briefed by Lightkeeper Quinten of a discovered body covered in blood soaked fractal patterns etched into the skin.
Made for Overmount, met up with Quintens contact and requester of help, named Nigel.
Nigel expressed desires to keep this info under wraps from the electric company, much of which owns/runs the town."Fractal patterns looked more burned in than etched. Entire rows of houses that spoke off from the cental warehouse are burning out and losing power, lightbulbs burst and lines fried."
Walked to the body. Pete sustained an injury prodding the body with his cane, receiving a jolt of electricity. Bleed tracking device indicated it was a vessel of Bleed, but not a source.
Met with Widow Alice Shelly, only one in town and on street not hooked up to power due to husbands death. Eventually with Nigel's help, we followed the bleed detector by digging into her garden, discovering a mangled collection of fractal covered corpses, Resembling and acting like a power line.
Following the line out of town, during nightfall, we trekked through the woods while hearing creatures run around us until we see where it leads: A 'Tree' of corpses, inhabited by shadow demon creatures that fed off the electric current. The pursued us until we jumped into a river, which we discovered evaporates them. Heard commotion and gunshots from town. Corleone snuck up to the nearby Line and attempted to channel though it, reports he witnessed a Large electric golem feeding off the end of the line, attached to a full power transformer. Circle members quickly acted to supply water into the line, notably Sebri bending water from the river directly into the line. The Golem was splashed once to stop his growing, and upon getting closer, again to bring it down. The shadow demon home was also taken care of as well.

Lightkeeper's Notes
Nigel Munro, an old contact of mine, reached out asking for assistance with a "delicate" situation. He has apparently weaseled his way into a foreman position with the Hackley & Wilde Timber Company, but the recent disappearances of his workers was putting his job at risk. While I detest functioning as the clean-up crew for his shady business practices, he has always been a reliable source of information. Ignoring his missive would risk inviting another incident like the collapse of Daniel's Lighthouse.
From my circle's report, it seems like once again Nigel was spot on with his worries. An immense nest of Night Terrors was tucked away in the mountainside near Nigel's lumbering town. They are creatures of shadow, normally the size of an owl, that feeds on the residual electricity left behind from lightning strikes. While the creatures aren't too uncommon deep within the Bridleborne Mountains, the nest being nearly 20 meters in diameter is the largest I've ever heard about.
Even more worrying is the giant golem creature that Corleone described. Using the bodies of the workers to make a grotesque powerline to feed the nest shows dangerous levels of ingenuity. My fellow lightkeepers haven't heard of anything like it either. I haven't heard back from Lisa yet, however, but I doubt she will be able to shed any more light.
This assignment really beat up the circle. I am going to try and hold them in reserve for a while. If something urgent comes up I know I can't hold them back, but they need rest. Especially Corleone and Sebri. The strain from channeling so much magick took a toll on Sebri. But despite the damage, she seems fairly excited about discovering a new way to use her abilities. That in itself is worrying in its own right, but I don't think she has forgotten the dangers of using magick... at least not yet. It's something to keep an eye on.
I'm unsure of how Corleone is fairing. He and Pete got into an altercation with some OUP agents as they were getting ready to leave the mountains. Speaking of which, I need to call Councilman Miles and get those two released. I hope they haven't caused too much of a fuss.
